This year’s Performance Boating Sales Jeanneau Rendezvous destination is Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club on Saturday the 9th of April with yachts leaving from Sydney Harbour at 7.30am and Pittwater at 9am to sail together in company North to Newcastle where we will host a function on the “Moonshadow IV” around Newcastle harbour that evening. As always there will be lots of spot prizes and the evening’s meal is free to owners. I’ve seen the menu and it looks mouth-watering! These events have been extremely enjoyable as we’ve varied the destination every year And NCYC are renowned for their hospitality, so we are very much looking forward to it.
On the Sunday yachts will either head for home, or those yachts participating in Sail Port Stephens will continue North Monday the 12th to Wednesday the 14th is the Commodore’s Cup part of the event with both spinnaker and non-spinnaker divisions and within these divisions we will be awarding prizes for the best placed Jeanneau Yachts. On the Tuesday evening there will be a Jeanneau function and at this stage it is looking likely that there will be 20 yachts taking part. Just last week the regulations for the event have been eased to AYF Category 7 safety certificate, so any yacht currently club sailing and carrying a valid cert’ is eligible to take part with no further safety requirements.
The Sail Port Stephens event is one of the most popular in the state as it is a terrific venue with a great atmosphere and the event is always superbly well run. We look forward to seeing you there.
