As the biggest producer of power boats in Europe, Jeanneau manufacture a full range of outboard powered boats from 4.7 to 8.7 meters in length.
One of these is the Merry Fisher 855 (known as the MF855). Designed for comfort it combines an innovative interior design that’s never been seen on a boat of only 26 foot with two separate cabins.
The main cabin is an island style bed that’s 2 metres in length with in-hull windows for a view out and separate to the second cabin that’s under the saloon with its own entry. There is also a large enclosed toilet area, making maximum use of the space available and the cockpit has a clever feature to maximise space where the transom seat is fitted on slides and moves back when the engine(s) are down, then slides forward when raised.
The helm has a sliding door for access to the side deck that’s wider on the starboard side to make access to the bow safer and easier and the saloon has solid sliding doors giving access to the cockpit. The saloon seating converting in three ways, from a forward facing crew seat, to a four person eating area, then converting to a comfortable bed. The saloon has twin sliding roof hatches for air and light, and a single piece windscreen giving clear viewing forward for everyone. Various engine options from single 300hp to twin 200hp give plenty of power and economical running.
Come and see a range of the Jeanneau outboard powered boats at this year’s Sydney Trailer Boat Show on the 7th and 8th of March held at the Sydney Show grounds.
I look forward to seeing your there.
