With only two weeks now to the arrival of the first example of the new Jeanneau 54 to Australia we simply can’t wait to see this amazing and innovative new design in the flesh, and better still to sail it with an even keener owner. The yacht will be on display at the Sydney International Boat Show and we are hosting an official launch on the Friday evening the 29th of July. This is an invitation only event at which Erik Stromberg the Jeanneau ‘Sailboat Product Manager’ will talk us through the design philosophy behind this new generation of ‘Jeanneau’ yachts, which commenced with the flagship Jeanneau 64 last year, the 54 this year and there is a new 50 footer expected to be announced for the coming year to replace the 50DS. If you would like to attend the function please RSVP to info@performanceboating.com.au attention Andrea, or give her a call on (02)9979 9755.
Jeanneau are the World leaders in production yachts over 50 feet by some margin and it’s not hard to see why when you understand the detail that goes into these designs and the strength of the design partnership between Phillippe Briand naval architects and Andrew Winch interior design who are leaders in the field of superyacht design.
The Jeanneau 54 has a series of innovative features and was praised in the recent review by Yachting World magazine. Keys elements are the trade-marked ‘terrace’ where the transom opens to reveal sun loungers stepping through to the swim platform, also a foredeck sun-pad with its own bimini, unique cosy corners at the forward of the cockpit, life-raft stowage at the aft of the cockpit table, substantial retractable davits, a unique aft galley layout, and high level interior with unique use of space.
